Explore your career and what a New Chapter can bring…

Welcome to New ChapterTM, careers, mentoring and advocacy services for adults and small businesses in the Wairarapa, Wellington, and further afield.

Careers are not always easy, and these recent times have showed us an increase in rationalisation can be painful for those on the receiving end.

As a Careers Professional qualified with CDANZ the (Careers Development Association of New Zealand) and experienced in working with people in transition, change, flux and injury or illness.

Careers are sensitive area and as you assemble the semblance of your career in the new economy it’s nice to work with someone who can listen, empathise, plan and implement career strategy with you.

Our team have worked across Government, small business and corporate sectors and have experience with Not for profit and the Associations space.

All that said, if you want to sound out your next chapter or invest in your digital assets and awareness building – New Chapter can assist.

Our suite of practical services includes:

  • Awareness building assessment
  • Developing CVs, Resumes, and cover letters
  • Enhancing interview skills and applications
  • Training brokerage and study mapping
  • Personal brand development and social media guidance
  • Freelancer setup and mentorship.
  • Flexible work and working parents.

We are here to listen to your concerns and ensure that our career services are holistic, addressing all aspects of your whole person including your ‘wairuatanga’ (spiritual wellbeing) and without denomination.

Work, after all, should be more than something you do – it might be a fulfilling journey founded in your values – based on what you enjoy doing and being.

Yours sincerely,

Edwin Paul

Services Navigation

At New ChapterTM, we offer a unique non-profit service called Services Navigation. The team, working alongside Edwin Paul, is dedicated to receiving, addressing, and resolving adult complaints, grievances, and policy miscommunications. Our ultimate goal is to help you navigate these services effectively and fairly.

We operate independently of the organisations we legally address to ensure our advice is impartial, always putting your interests first. Our operations are funded by donations, grants, bequests, and compassionate individuals who have experienced injustice firsthand or have a heart for our cause.

Services navigation is available in New Zealand, for organisations including ACC (Accident Compensation Corporation), MSD (Ministry of Social Development), MoJ (Ministry of Justice), New Zealand Police, Te Whatu Ora (Health New Zealand), and others on a case-by-case basis.
We prioritise the needs of families and individuals in all our navigation efforts. If we are unable to assist you, we will direct you to a service that can meet your needs effectively.

Our work is guided by the CDANZ Professional Ethics Charter (see here). New Chapter is covered by Professional Indemnity Insurance and Public Liability Insurance, and is GST Registered in New Zealand (Aotearoa). Our fund-raising activity is delivered through Open Collective a funds holder in umbrella charity in New Zealand who we pay a 5% commission.
